Jack-o-lantern

Jack-o-lantern (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Personally, this is one of my favorite times of the year.  I love the cool nights and the windy, yet (mostly) sunny days and all the activities for fall.  Park Ridge has myriad activities for adults, seniors and kids, this time of year as does the surrounding area.

If you are looking for haunted houses, apple farms, haunted hayrides, pumpkin canons, apple cider, costumes, corn mazes ghost tours and anything/everything Halloween related – Chicago Fun has the details for the surrounding areas of Park Ridge.

I’ll post the Haunted Houses in the area in the next couple of days as that is a pretty big list.

Hope you enjoy our beautiful weather today!

Summer has Started

Posted by Park Ridge Real Estate | Posted in Park Ridge Community Events | Posted on 03-06-2010

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend – It was a beautiful long weekend – something we’re not used to.  Grills were going all weekend and the sounds of families gathering together punctuated the point that Summer is here!

There are so many things to do this summer – weddings, graduations, birthdays all have their spots on our calendar.  Pools are open but I wanted to let you know that the South Park Pool will be closed from June 1 to mid-June for maintenance. To accommodate South Park’s pre-season hours, the Centennial Wading Pool will be open at 10am during this maintenance.

Also – here is a quick list of events coming up in Park Ridge:

Enjoy the weather and congrats to all the 2010 graduates!

Here’s a great website with a calendar of events for Park Ridge as well info on municipal/community meetings.

This weekend there are events for infants/small children, a Rock Band tournament and a Dr. Suess musical at Maine East.  There’s an Irish Fest on Sunday as well as an Indoor Famer’s market and an orchestra all within Park Ridge.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
